We are an Australian owned and operated multi-disciplinary mechanical engineering and consultancy organisation based in South East Queensland.
Our team of professionals have over 35 years of extensive knowledge in Project Management, Material Handling, Plant Design, and new product Research & Development. With a solid skillset and broad perspective, we provide on-time and on-budget delivery of projects, designed for seamless manufacturing processes.

What do I need to send?
A sketch, photo, PDF or CAD file is enough to start. The more you can tell us (dimensions, materials, quantities, what it is for), the quicker and more accurate the quote. Not sure? Send what you have and we will ask.
Which file types can I send?
Photos and phone pictures, PDFs, DWG and DXF, STEP and IGES, Autodesk Inventor, Solid Edge and ZIP files. If yours is not on the list, send it anyway and we will tell you.
Do I need a 2D drawing or a 3D model?
A 2D drawing is what most workshops and fabricators build from. A 3D model helps with design, checking fit and visualising the part. Many jobs need both. Tell us what it is for and we will recommend the right one.
How long will it take?
We reply to every quote request by email, usually within one business day. The time to complete depends on the size of the job, and we confirm it with your quote.
How do I check and approve my drawing?
We put the drawing in your private online portal. You can mark it up on screen, draw, type notes in colour and send corrections back. When you are happy, you approve it and download your approved PDF drawing, including 3D PDFs where they are part of the job.
What if I need a change later?
Corrections before you approve are part of the job. After approval, quick changes that take us under 10 minutes are free; larger changes are charged and we confirm the cost with you before we start. See our Terms and Conditions for how payment works.
Are my files private?
Yes. Your files are stored privately and can only be opened by you and Drafting Central. NDAs are available on request.
Do you work with customers outside Australia?
Yes. We work online with customers anywhere in the world. Send your job or files through the website and we reply by email, usually within one business day (Queensland, Australia time). Quotes and invoices are in Australian dollars, and you can pay by card (Visa, Mastercard or American Express), with PayPal, or by direct deposit into our bank account (no fees).
How much does it cost?
Every job is different, so we quote each one. Send us your job and we will confirm the price before we start.
